The Pender Wedding
This was a beautiful wedding with a beautiful family, a beautiful church and a large and eccentric reception location.
The client heard about us from a word of mouth recommendation from her hairstylist, and we hit it off right away. It’s very important for the client to be comfortable with the videographer. A mutual friend is an ideal start to a project and the Pender family couldn’t have been friendlier :)
We arrived at the reception venue early in the day to begin capturing the brides preparation. I ran around the grounds and filmed plenty of B footage, then went inside and made myself a coffee on the large restaurant grade espresso machine.

I chatted briefly to everyone and introduced myself (people like to know who is shoving a camera in their faces), then got to work filming the whole prep process, the bridesmaids and the bride getting ready. I always make sure I get the dress, the shoes and the finishing touches to the hair and make up.
The church was a beautiful big old thing in a local village, one of those places with a very sensitive organist who doesn’t like being filmed - surprisingly common, so I set up like a stills camera man and kept a low profile. As you can see from the video I did end up getting a decent angle, I had to hide behind a pillar so the organist couldn’t see me!

The reception with the speeches and meal were very relaxed and fun, easy to pick up as many smiling faces as possible. Overall a very good day and I’m happy with the result. The couple were happy with the finished product, no changes requested at all, just the way I like it :)
From the bride: "We absolutely love the video! We cannot stop watching it, it is just absolutely beautiful!!! We cannot believe you came up with that so quickly- you are truly amazing!! You are a true professional and are just amazing at what you do as well as being such a lovely guy!"
