The McManus Wedding

A wonderful Scottish wedding with tonnes of smiles flowers and rugged Scottish stone throughout.

I used a friend's DJI Osmo for a few shots in this video, from 0:00, 3:23, 3:32 etc. It's a single handed gimbal with a built in camera. Basically a small joystick with a little stabilised camera on the top. Pretty amazing. I'm not sure about this effect in weddings videos, a lot of videographers will use glide cams and other stabilisation rigs for this floaty blockbuster Hollywood dolly effect shot, I'm not sure it suits my style. But I do like trying out different things with each new video I make, this way I can keep getting better and producing better videos for my clients, I can see what works for me and what doesn't. I think I'm still trying to find my voice but my style is basically 'energetic'. Like an intimate music video, with my fast paced editing and hand held shots. This is mainly influenced by my background in low budget run-and-gun music videos.

For this video I used a LUT called Salisbury - http://deluts.businesscatalyst.com/deluts-set-1.html and just turned it down to 75% in Premiere, it's a cool contrasty look with crushed blacks and added sharpness, makes everything look slick and white.

From the bride: "Apologies for the delay in response we've basically spent the entire weekend watching each video 100 times! Thank you so much!...we can't express how much we love it!"
